Des Moines Apartment Building Evacuated During Fire

DES MOINES, Iowa  —  A fire forced the evacuation of a Des Moines apartment building in the 3200 block of 30th Street on Tuesday night.

The fire appears to have started in a basement apartment. All of the windows were broken out and firefighters used flashlights to check for hot spots and to try to locate the cause.

No one was injured.
