Bill to Ban Iowa Traffic Cameras Moving Forward

IOWA  --  A bill to ban all traffic cameras in Iowa is out of committee.

The House Government Committee approved the ban on Tuesday, sending it to the full House for debate. The measure bans both red light and speed cameras and requires their removal by July 1st.

Traffic cameras are currently used by eight cities and one county in Iowa.
