AMES -- With Iowa State getting their spring practices underway, their quarterback is working on his leadership skills.

Brock Purdy burst onto the scene in 2018, notching 2,250 passing yards and 16 touchdowns as a true freshman.

As a sophomore, he'll step into more of a leadership role.

Iowa State opens the season August 31 against UNI.
