Three Indianola High School students have been charged for allegedly writing a bomb threat that forced the evacuation of the school last week.

Police say a teen girl and two teen boys are cited with a threat of terrorism and have been referred to juvenile court.

Last Friday, school officials briefly evacuated students to buses, after a threatening message was found in a bathroom. They returned to class a short time later when an all clear was given.

An internal investigation at the school determined the suspects, and that information was released to police.

Police say the students made the threat because they wanted to get out of school early.
