IOWA  —  The 2019 Iowa Sales Tax holiday begins at midnight on Friday, August 2nd and ends at 11:59pm on Saturday, August 3th.

Most clothing items and footwear are included in the holiday, but there are exemption, including sports equipment.

The Iowa Department of Revenue has an easy guide online that explains what is tax-free and what isn’t.
